About the Role

The Sales Manager will lead both outside and inside sales professionals, ensuring short‑ to medium‑term objectives are met and guiding the development of outside sales plans. This role involves direct client interaction, new‑business development, and influencing leadership on critical sales strategies. The manager will also serve as a representative of the sales team on the branch management committee. • Lead business development for strategic prospects according to executive strategy • Serve as primary contact for high‑visibility prospects, building relationships to understand needs • Identify bid opportunities, review responses, and negotiate with large or complex customers • Guide team in proposal writing, present proposals, negotiate value, and address resistance • Represent sales team on prospective target accounts and territories • Establish long‑term relationships with prospective accounts • Participate in branch management as the sales team representative • Hire, train, and mentor sales staff • Drive team achievement of financial, strategic, and cultural sales goals • Monitor and manage sales bookings using CRM tools and KPIs

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree plus 4+ years Building Automation/HVAC sales experience, or Associate degree with 6+ years, or High School diploma/GED with 8+ years experience • Sales management experience • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities • Effective communication at all levels • Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) • Proficiency in virtual meeting platforms (Teams, Zoom) • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Practical knowledge of leading and managing sales processes, projects, and tactics
