About the Role
The inspector will conduct routine and hold‑point inspections of activities such as excavation, backfilling, compaction, pavement layers, concrete and structural works, utility installations, and more. They will review and witness field and laboratory tests, verify compliance with approved ITPs, prepare inspection reports, daily records and non‑conformance reports, and maintain systematic documentation of progress and communications. Coordination with other discipline inspectors and support for the Resident Engineer in progress reporting and technical queries are also essential. • Monitor day‑to‑day civil and infrastructure works for compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety standards. • Conduct routine and hold‑point inspections of excavation, backfilling, compaction, pavement, concrete, structural, and utility activities. • Review and witness field and laboratory tests, ensuring results meet specification requirements. • Verify implementation of approved ITPs, method statements, and checklists by the contractor. • Prepare inspection requests, site inspection reports, daily records, and non‑conformance reports. • Maintain systematic records of work progress, inspections, tests, and site communications for audit. • Assist Resident Engineer/Assistant Resident Engineer with progress reports and technical inputs. • Review civil and infrastructure drawings, identify discrepancies, and communicate them to the engineering team. • Coordinate with other discipline inspectors to manage interface issues. • Monitor contractor’s quality control procedures and report deficiencies. • Support project quality plan implementation and participate in corrective‑action inspections. • Promote safe working practices, report unsafe conditions, and collaborate with HSE staff. • Ensure road and utility works comply with local authority requirements and standards.

What You Bring
Parsons is seeking a talented Civil Inspector to monitor civil and infrastructure works on‑site, ensuring they are performed in line with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and quality and safety requirements. Candidates must hold a Diploma in Civil Engineering and have at least five years of construction supervision experience on infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, highways, and utilities, preferably within a consultancy. Strong knowledge of site construction practices, ability to interpret civil drawings and specifications, familiarity with local authority standards, and proficiency in preparing inspection documentation are required. • Hold a Diploma in Civil Engineering. • Possess minimum five years’ experience supervising infrastructure construction, including roads, bridges, highways, and utilities. • Demonstrated consultancy experience and strong knowledge of site construction and supervision procedures. • Ability to read and interpret civil/infrastructure drawings, specifications, and contract documents. • Familiarity with local authority standards for roads and utilities. • Proficient in preparing inspection reports and maintaining systematic records. • Capable of thriving in a fast‑paced, site‑based, multidisciplinary supervision team.
