About the Role

The Environmental Engineer will join the Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) team to work with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring permitting and regulatory compliance across air, water, hazardous waste, and materials, while driving continuous improvement of environmental programs and training. The Manufacturing Engineering team, which bridges proof‑of‑concept designs to scalable, profitable products, defines process technology, equipment solutions, and ensures manufacturability at cost and scale, acting as the feedback loop to product design. • Lead compliance for air permits, hazardous/industrial waste, stormwater (SWPPP) and spill prevention (SPCC) programs. • Develop and manage the environmental compliance assurance program, identifying and mitigating regulatory risks. • Prepare and submit Tier II Chemical Inventory, Toxic Release Inventory, and annual waste summary reports to state and federal agencies. • Oversee hazardous and industrial waste programs, including waste determinations, classifications, and reporting. • Manage water pollution prevention initiatives, such as stormwater controls, SPCC plans, and wastewater discharge permits. • Conduct environmental inspections, support agency interactions, and issue corrective actions via EHS tools. • Deliver environmental impact training for new hires, ongoing staff, and high‑risk activities. • Support broader EH&S initiatives including audits, emergency drills, management system improvements, and regulatory information requests. • Monitor emerging environmental regulations and best practices, communicating updates to stakeholders.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field, or equivalent experience. • Minimum three years managing multi‑media environmental compliance programs and engineering design reviews. • Experience preparing Tier II, hazardous waste, and air emissions inventory reports. • Proven ability to support and manage EPA, TCEQ, DOT, and other agency inspections. • Strong knowledge of EHS statutes (EPCRA, RCRA, IFC, DOT, CAA, CWA, OSHA) and standards. • Advanced skills in environmental data analytics and pollution release calculations.
