About the Role
The position assists in enforcing company, Environmental Health & Safety, and risk management policies on construction projects. Responsibilities include supporting the identification, elimination, and control of hazardous conditions that could cause injury or property damage. • Provide training on safe work practices and the Building L.I.F.E. program. • Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance with company policies, regulations, and contract requirements. • Verify subcontractor OSHA‑standard training and maintain training records. • Administer drug‑screening program (pre‑employment, post‑accident, random) per project requirements. • Coordinate pre‑construction meetings and conduct new‑employee orientation sessions. • Collect and manage Pre‑Task Plans and Job Hazard Analyses for contractors. • Maintain safety documentation including logs, MSDS, incident reports, and OSHA 300 records. • Conduct safety meetings, record minutes, and summarize toolbox talks. • Perform site safety audits and inspections, issuing corrective‑action recommendations. • Identify and report safety violations, especially imminent hazards.

What You Bring
Physical demands for this role include climbing stairs and ladders, using construction hoists, and performing tasks that require frequent sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and handling tools. The employee must regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, while also meeting visual and mobility requirements for both on‑site and office environments. • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Minimum one year of construction safety experience. • Knowledge of safety/environmental principles and Federal, State, local EH&S regulations. • Familiarity with general construction operations and ability to recognize safety exposures. • Strong leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. • Highly organized with strong attention to detail. • Analytical thinking, good judgment, and problem‑solving skills. • Flexible and able to work in non‑structured environments, reprioritizing tasks as needed. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data‑entry tools.

Benefits
The role is based in the New York Main division, located in New York, NY 10001, with a travel requirement of 10‑20%. It is a regular, entry‑level, salaried non‑exempt position classified under the Environmental Health and Safety family, offering an estimated annual salary between $70,000 and $80,000.
