About the Role
The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for routine shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring that incoming and outgoing shipments are accurately identified with purchase orders, invoices, or other documentation. Key duties include continuously supplying materials to production or assembly areas, kitting parts on the line, picking items from Kanban or storage locations, maintaining proper inventory levels, operating forklifts or hand trucks, inspecting parts for damage, logging inventory, and documenting material movement with tablet computers. The associate must follow departmental policies, safety and environmental standards, and may contribute to reports and database upkeep. • Ensure accurate identification of incoming and outgoing shipments using purchase orders, invoices, or related documents. • Supply continuous flow of materials to production and assembly lines. • Perform kitting of parts to keep lines moving at a steady pace. • Pick parts from Kanban or storage areas and place them into designated kits or bins. • Maintain appropriate inventory quantities and stock the Water Spider as needed. • Operate stand‑up forklift or hand truck for material delivery and picking. • Sort, count, and log parts and supplies, recording discrepancies or damages. • Inspect parts for defects, report issues to supervisors or purchasing personnel, and trace lost items. • Document material movement using computer tablets and maintain departmental databases and routine reports. • Follow OSHA safety standards, wear required PPE, and promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. • Perform additional tasks as assigned to ensure effective utilization of assets.

What You Bring
Candidates must successfully pass the Work Keys Assessment and have 1–2 years of experience in a material‑handling environment, including at least one year operating a stand‑up forklift. Basic computer skills, the ability to work independently, and the willingness to obtain forklift certification or read blueprints if required are also essential. The role demands physical stamina: lifting up to 26 lb, reaching overhead, standing for long periods, and performing stooping, bending, pulling and pushing motions while using hand and foot controls. Safety shoes and glasses are mandatory, and work is performed on a manufacturing floor with normal noise levels.
