Job Highlights
About the Role
These roles sit at the heart of delivery. As a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer, you’ll support and enable the end‑to‑end delivery of complex infrastructure projects, from early works and design coordination through to construction, commissioning and close‑out. Rather than recruiting to a single project, we’re building a capability‑based intake, aligning you to projects based on discipline, experience and interests, with opportunities to move across the portfolio as the program evolves. This is an opportunity to see your work built, commissioned and energised, and to play a direct role in projects of state and national significance. Senior Project Engineers will also provide technical leadership, act as an escalation point on engineering matters, and mentor engineers within the team. • Manage technical inputs, RFIs and design coordination for construction • Coordinate procurement, materials and contractor activities • Support or lead elements of project planning, scheduling and reporting • Resolve construction and delivery challenges in complex environments • Manage as-built documentation and asset acceptance requirements • Work closely with Project Managers, construction teams and specialists • Contribute to safe delivery in greenfield and brownfield environments • Synchronous Condenser (SynCons) projects: support system strength and network stability as renewable generation increases, involving complex brownfield delivery, commissioning and integration with live assets • Central‑West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (CWO REZ): deliver new transmission infrastructure to unlock large‑scale renewable generation and support regional growth • Data Centre connections and network augmentations: enable rapid expansion of data centres across NSW through new substations, network augmentations and complex customer connection projects
