About the Role
The Accountant II is a key member of the Cambridge Finance Department and partners with the Controller to analyze and report financial information to the plant management team. This role interacts closely with operations leadership and Corporate Finance, and reports onsite to the Senior Plant Manager. Key responsibilities include independently preparing and analyzing daily, weekly and monthly financial reports, preparing and reviewing monthly closing journals and reconciliations, and supporting the monthly close process with balance‑sheet and income‑statement analysis. The Accountant II also assists local operations with KPI tracking, ensures capital projects are closed and reported, reviews and approves invoices, oversees cycle counting and inventory control, and aids the Controller in forecasting and budgeting. Continuous‑improvement skills are applied to enhance reporting, and the role provides data to internal and external auditors while serving as a backup for standard reporting duties. • Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports. • Review and post monthly closing journals, reconciliations, and supplemental data. • Support the monthly close process and conduct balance‑sheet and income‑statement analysis. • Track and validate KPI data for local operations. • Close and report on capital projects, including percentage‑of‑completion calculations. • Review and approve invoices using the automated invoicing system. • Oversee cycle counting and physical inventory control per company standards. • Assist the Controller with forecasting and budgeting activities. • Investigate financial data irregularities and ensure GAAP compliance. • Provide required data to internal and external auditors and serve as backup for reporting duties. • Participate in 401(k) plan with employer match and receive paid parental/family leave. • Utilize on‑site gym, wellness initiatives, and employee referral incentives.

What You Bring
Candidates should hold a B.S. in Accounting, Finance or a related field (or equivalent experience) and possess 2‑4 years of increasingly responsible accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or manufacturing. Required competencies include strong GAAP knowledge, detail orientation, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with SAP; experience with OneStream or Hyperion is a plus. • Hold a BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Possess 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting or manufacturing preferred. • Demonstrate strong knowledge of GAAP and detail‑oriented work habits. • Communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms. • Proficient in SAP; experience with OneStream or Hyperion is advantageous.
