About the Role
• Design stormwater management and erosion & sediment control systems. • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for permits, drainage, culverts, and flood evaluations. • Conduct field activities such as BMP inspections, watershed delineations, and drainage assessments. • Prepare plans, calculations, technical memoranda, and permitting documentation. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support QA/QC processes. • Mentor junior engineers and lead task management. • Create data tables, figures, charts, and technical deliverables. • Assist with project scoping, estimating, and agency/client coordination.

What You Bring
WSP is seeking a Water Resources Engineer for its Mid‑Atlantic Water team, based in Baltimore, MD, with hybrid, remote, or in‑office flexibility. Candidates throughout the broader Mid‑Atlantic region are welcome, and the role requires 3–5 years of experience in hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, and erosion & sediment control. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a water resources focus. • Possess 3–5 years of post‑degree experience and EIT certification. • Demonstrate strong knowledge of hydrology/hydraulics and related software (HEC‑HMS, SWMM, HydroCAD, HEC‑RAS, etc.). • Experience with CADD tools (Bentley OpenRoads, MicroStation, AutoCAD/Civil 3D) and basic GIS (ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro). • Exhibit strong communication, teamwork, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving skills. • Preferred: PE license or ability to obtain, 3D terrain modeling, advanced GIS scripting, familiarity with MD/VA/DC regulatory frameworks, and construction‑phase support.
