About the Role
The Cost Estimator role is full‑time (40 hours/week) and fully remote within the U.S. mainland or territories. The incumbent leads and contributes to conceptual estimating and pricing strategies for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and photovoltaic (PV) projects. The estimator supports project execution by managing cost data, reviewing design specifications and EPC contracts, overseeing EPC pricing through all phases, and analyzing EPC estimates for accuracy and cost‑saving opportunities. • Collect and apply historical cost data from prior projects to new BESS and PV initiatives. • Provide design specification review and evaluate EPC contracts and change orders for cost implications. • Prepare and manage EPC pricing throughout pre‑construction and construction phases. • Analyze EPC‑provided estimates to verify accuracy and uncover cost‑optimization opportunities.

What You Bring
Candidates need a U.S. bachelor’s degree in Construction, Building Science, or Energy Systems Management and at least two years of renewable‑energy cost‑estimating experience with large‑scale PV and BESS projects, including LCOE modeling, cost‑model creation, engineering review, and pricing support for PPA RFP bids. • Hold a U.S. bachelor’s degree in Construction, Building Science, or Energy Systems Management. • Minimum two years of cost‑estimating experience on large‑scale PV and BESS projects, including LCOE modeling and cost‑model development. • Experience reviewing electrical and structural engineering work for cost validation and providing technical solutions. • Proven ability to support pricing inputs for Power Purchase Agreement RFP bids.
