About the Role

The primary function is to assist the daily operations of the MBP team while developing professional engineering knowledge. Work is closely supervised, and interns are expected to present themselves professionally, demonstrate reliability, dedication, courtesy, responsiveness to client needs, maintain confidentiality, and emphasize quality and attention to detail. • Assist daily operations of the MBP team while gaining engineering knowledge. • Prepare proposals (quality take‑offs) and maintain project documentation, including updating drawings from addendums and construction modifications (RFIs). • Support plan reviews and site observations. • Identify potential business opportunities via web and publications. • Conduct quality assurance inspections on project sites. • Prepare as‑builts, bar charts, timelines, schedule graphs, and other client deliverables. • Create and manipulate engineering information using appropriate software. • Develop slide presentations using PowerPoint and Prezi. • Manipulate bitmaps and scan images with Microsoft Publisher. • Create and update spreadsheets using Excel. • Utilize industry‑relevant software for assigned projects. • Research engineering and construction‑management magazine articles. • Prepare meeting minutes, daily reports, and other project documentation.

What You Bring

Summer 2026 interns will gain experience in on‑site construction inspection, documentation, research, computer applications, scheduling, cost estimating, plans and specifications, project close‑out, report development, and safety. Interns may work 10–24 hours per week (up to 40 with pre‑approved overtime) during standard business hours (8 am–5 pm, Monday‑Friday). Work locations can be office, project site, or a hybrid. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
