About the Role
The engineer will model and simulate space, ground, and satellite segments, conduct threat assessments, trade studies, and analyses, and provide technical expertise to support resilience enterprise mission operations. They will communicate findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences, participate in design reviews and interchange meetings, and work with customers and internal engineering groups to develop resolution plans for complex challenges. • Model and simulate space, ground, and satellite systems. • Perform threat assessments, trade studies, and analyses for resilience. • Provide technical expertise to support resilience mission operations. • Communicate technical findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences. • Participate in system design reviews and technical interchange meetings. • Collaborate with customers and engineering groups to develop resolution plans. • Analyze and summarize data using Microsoft Excel; produce technical documentation. • Apply object‑oriented design and analysis techniques. • Utilize orbital analysis tools such as ANSYS Systems Toolkit (STK). • Develop UML/SysML/UAF models for system architecture.

What You Bring
KBR is seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support an Intelligence Community space customer. The role focuses on government space architecture, resiliency mission fundamentals, and modeling and simulation of complex space systems within a Digital Engineering Environment. Modeling and simulation activities will aid development and validation of requirements, concepts of operations, architecture products, and integration of analysis tools for space system resilience. The position is on‑site with minimal travel and follows standard working hours. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, at least five years of experience in space systems, satellite expertise, modeling and simulation skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and technical documentation. Desired qualifications include object‑oriented design, experience with STK, resilience mission fundamentals, sensor modeling, UML/SysML/UAF, Agile development, and a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. • Hold a STEM bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of space systems experience. • Demonstrate satellite systems knowledge and modeling‑simulation proficiency. • Maintain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
