About the Role

• Assist with the management and leading of projects. • Develop full sets of structural drawings and technical specifications without guidance. • Train and mentor Engineers‑In‑Training (EITs) in structural engineering. • Perform structural design calculations, plan production activities, and prepare project submittal packages while maintaining quality control. • Lead and support construction‑phase efforts on building projects. • Support and participate in meetings and presentations with clients, contractors, and design team members. • Contribute to identifying project opportunities through networking with new and existing clients.

What You Bring

Kimley-Horn's Alpharetta, GA office is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer with 2+ years of experience to join their Building Structures team. This is an on-site position. • 2+ years of relevant engineering design experience. • Professional Engineering (P.E.) license (or ability to obtain within 12 months). • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp for drawing production. • Experience with structural analysis/design software such as STAAD, RAM, E‑Tabs, MathCAD, TEDDS, ADAPT PT, etc. • Strong sense of urgency and self‑discipline to meet client deadlines. • Detail‑oriented team player contributing to a positive work environment. • Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects concurrently. • Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills with focus on personal and staff development. • Positive, can‑do attitude and strong work ethic.
