About the Role
The role encompasses a range of building-envelope services, including property condition assessments, forensic investigations, and design of repairs for existing facilities. Associates will engage in field and laboratory testing, quality-assurance observations, and performance testing to ensure building envelope integrity. • Inspect, test, assess, and commission building enclosures for existing structures. • Conduct air-leakage testing, roofing assessments, and construction quality-assurance observations. • Perform field performance testing and specialized forensic investigations. • Review design specifications and develop repair designs for building envelopes. • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and project documentation. • Schedule, oversee, and mentor facilities technicians and junior staff. • Promote a safe workplace by ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment.

What You Bring
Candidates should hold a B.Arch or M.Arch (NCARB) degree or a BS in Engineering, Building Science, or a related field from an ABET-accredited program, with 0-2 years of relevant consulting experience. An equivalent combination of experience, certification, and education—such as four years as an ECS Facilities Staff Associate—will also be considered. • Hold a B.Arch/M.Arch (NCARB) or BS in Engineering/Building Science from an ABET-accredited program (NAAB accreditation preferred). • Possess 0-2 years of building facilities consulting experience, or four years of relevant ECS staff experience. • Experience with non-destructive testing is preferred.
