About the Role

The successful candidate will lead and support environmental remediation and coal‑ash closure projects, develop strong client relationships, and communicate effectively with project teams, site personnel, and office management. They will uphold safety policies, manage technical, cost, and schedule elements, and ensure quality within AECOM's Quality Management System. Key responsibilities include collaborating with project managers and other business lines, acting as Engineer of Record for reports and regulatory filings, and serving as Senior Project Engineer on complex projects. The engineer will prepare designs, specifications, cost estimates, and reports for civil and environmental remediation work such as landfill design, dewatering, stormwater management, and site restoration, while using CAD tools—preferably Autodesk Civil 3D. • Lead and support environmental remediation and coal‑ash closure projects. • Act as Engineer of Record, preparing reports, drawings, specifications, and regulatory applications. • Serve as Senior Project Engineer managing design, schedule, client liaison, and coordination. • Prepare designs, reports, specifications, and cost estimates for civil and environmental projects, including landfills, dewatering, stormwater, and site restoration. • Utilize CAD tools, preferably Autodesk Civil 3D, for technical work. • Identify opportunities to improve project efficiency and add value to clients. • Mentor junior and mid‑level staff and support PE exam preparation.

What You Bring

Minimum qualifications are a BA/BS in Civil Engineering with at least four years of relevant experience and a valid U.S. driver’s license. Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, five or more years in an engineering consulting firm, senior project engineering experience on large‑scale landfill and coal‑ash projects, and OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification. • Hold a BA/BS in Civil Engineering with at least 4 years of experience; master’s degree preferred. • Possess OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification and a valid U.S. driver’s license.
