Job Highlights
About the Role
The inspector will apply technical expertise and precision skills to inspection processes that directly influence engine performance and safety. Working closely with Operations and Engineering, the role provides shop‑floor support for measurement equipment and ensures compliance with quality disciplines. • Program and operate a CMM using MCOSOMOS Mitutoyo software, creating calibration and FAIR programs. • Program and run a 3D structured‑light system (GOM ScanBox) and analyse data with Polyworks IMInspect. • Provide shop‑floor support and troubleshooting for CMM and GOM assets in collaboration with Operations and Engineering. • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) on new turbine components and validate production fixtures. • Use inspection tools (sine tables, ball pins, slip gauges, micrometers, verniers, height gauges) and apply trigonometry and advanced calculations. • Maintain blade inspection standards, perform QAS audits, manage master blade records and ensure compliance with quality disciplines.

What You Bring
• Submit NVQ Level 3 certification and evidence of a time‑served apprenticeship. • Completed a time‑served apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) – essential. • Experience programming Polyworks or other CAD software. • Practical experience operating and programming CMM or 3D‑SL systems (desirable). • Strong understanding of casting, machining and tooling drawings, including ASME & ISO geometric tolerancing (desirable). • Ability to perform trigonometry, compound‑angle calculations and first‑principles measurement using sine tables and slip gauges (desirable).
