About the Role
The Senior Drawing & Occupancy Technologist works with the team to coordinate and execute delivery of drawing and occupancy services consistently and precisely. This role is the technical expert for delivery and implementation of new services or projects, focusing on data integrity and internal technical issue resolution. Responsibilities include executing and updating day‑to‑day client requests, verifying inputs through collaboration or field visits, and supporting project, space, move, asset, and maintenance management as required by contracts. The role also facilitates the development and transition of services into new accounts, handling drawing file manipulation and space poly‑lining to established standards, while ensuring drawings adhere to policies, maintaining filing protocols, and providing quality assurance. As team lead, the technologist directly oversees the drawing and occupancy team, ensuring optimal delivery within procedural boundaries. They provide technical and administrative support, monitor plans, schedules, and budgets, strive for 100 % team satisfaction, and handle escalation of risks, work assignment, prioritization, progress monitoring, and performance feedback. The role establishes work schedules and priorities, assigns and monitors tasks, and ensures adherence to timeliness, quality standards, and KPI‑driven expectations for project deliverables. Continuous improvement is pursued by identifying efficiency opportunities, staying current with technology changes, and addressing training needs. The technologist provides reports and analysis using drawing and occupancy tools, flags potential errors, and proposes solutions. Relationship management involves developing internal relationships, maintaining communication and support, delivering training to team members, clients, and global initiatives, and proactively resolving escalated issues to ensure client satisfaction and organizational success. • Execute and update client drawing and occupancy requests, ensuring accuracy through verification and field visits. • Facilitate development and transition of services for new accounts, including drawing file manipulation and space poly‑lining to standards. • Maintain drawing policies, filing protocols, and perform quality assurance activities. • Lead and oversee the Drawing & Occupancy team, providing technical, administrative, and budgetary support. • Assign, prioritize, and monitor work progress, manage performance feedback, and escalate risks as needed. • Manage project schedules, meeting KPI‑driven time and quality constraints. • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities and stay current with technology trends. • Generate reports and analysis, highlight errors, and propose corrective solutions. • Build internal relationships, deliver training, and ensure effective communication with clients and stakeholders.

What You Bring
Required qualifications include a college diploma in a technical field (architectural, structural, electrical, or mechanical), proficiency with CAD and AutoCAD 2016, and preferably Revit or Microstation. Strong knowledge of industry standards, MS Office suite, analytical, problem‑solving, planning, interpersonal, and documentation skills are essential, along with a proactive, self‑driven attitude and solid people and client management abilities. • Possess a college diploma in a technical discipline and proficiency with AutoCAD 2016; Revit/Microstation preferred. • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem‑solving, planning, interpersonal, and documentation skills. • Certifications such as PMP, MCR, or BOMA are considered assets.
