About the Role
The Risk Manager role supports major infrastructure and development programmes across New Zealand, acting as a consultant within client teams. Responsibilities include establishing risk frameworks, facilitating workshops, and delivering quantitative and qualitative risk analyses to enable confident decision‑making. • Establish and maintain ISO 31000‑aligned risk frameworks and registers. • Facilitate risk identification and assessment workshops across technical, commercial, regulatory and delivery domains. • Conduct cost and schedule risk analyses using Monte Carlo tools (Safran Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis, @Risk) and produce P50/P90 reports. • Prepare risk reports, trend analyses, and treatment effectiveness updates for Steering Committees and Programme Boards. • Advise procurement strategy on risk allocation and contribute to contract risk schedules. • Assess regulatory and consenting risks and embed them into program risk profiles. • Lead monthly risk reviews, update treatment plans, and present insights to senior leaders and governance groups. • Collaborate with PMO, planning, commercial and delivery teams to embed risk management throughout projects.

What You Bring
• 5–10 years experience managing risk on major infrastructure projects or in consulting environments. • Proven delivery of quantitative risk analysis for large programs or portfolios. • Proficiency with risk software such as Safran Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis, @Risk; knowledge of Primavera P6 or MS Project. • Understanding of construction delivery risks (design, procurement, market capacity, consenting) in New Zealand contexts, including alliances and PPPs. • Degree in engineering, project or construction management, finance or related field; IRM, PMI‑RMP or APM Risk certification advantageous.
