About the Role

The role involves overall management of estimating, scheduling, quality control, and commissioning for mechanical and electrical scopes, including data collection, bid analysis, and new business development. It also includes mentoring less experienced colleagues and representing the M/E department at external events. • Complete complex mechanical, electrical, and field construction estimating tasks. • Develop budgetary M/E estimates using program and schematic designs. • Review mechanical and electrical options, perform systems analysis, and provide value‑engineering recommendations. • Coordinate mechanical and electrical scopes of work during bid processes and assist in subcontractor selection. • Create sequencing plans for system installation and supply scheduling input for projects. • Identify potential quality issues in design documents and assist in developing quality‑control programs. • Conduct job inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards. • Prepare shop drawing reviews, pre‑functional checklists, and functional testing procedures; verify contractor performance. • Generate and issue commissioning plans, track deficiencies, and submit documentation to owners. • Mentor junior team members and develop innovative M/E tools and processes. • Negotiate subcontracts, purchase equipment, and maintain client relationships. • Lead resource allocation, staffing, and ensure reimbursability requirements are met. • Promote diversity and inclusion in line with JE Dunn policies.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, architectural engineering or related field (or equivalent experience). • 10+ years of construction management experience. • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, construction M/E software, scheduling tools, and BIM. • Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills. • Ability to read plans, drawings, specifications and apply construction management fundamentals. • Knowledge of Lean processes, ASE, Lens, and ability to manage budgets and profitability. • Valid unrestricted driver’s license.
