About the Role
The role involves performing system commissioning using Johnson Controls tools, troubleshooting basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls issues, and responding to warranty calls. You will load controller software, conduct advanced diagnostics, document commissioning activities, and ensure clear communication with contractors or customers throughout each job. • Perform system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. • Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems. • Respond to basic warranty calls. • Load system‑level controller software and execute advanced diagnostics on sensors and actuators. • Complete all required commissioning documentation and keep management and customers informed of progress. • Calibrate systems using basic electronic test equipment. • Handle administrative tasks such as timesheets, expense reports, and on‑site documentation. • Document changes for as‑built records and communicate site status to contractors or customers. • Follow all safety standards and attend required safety training. • Explain technical information clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences. • Provide leadership support to mechanics working on non‑critical building automation equipment.

What You Bring
Successful candidates will have at least two years of experience with HVAC or electronic/mechanical systems, knowledge of controls and facilities management, and strong interpersonal skills to represent the company professionally. Proficiency with PCs, HVAC software, hand and power tools, and the ability to explain technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences are essential. • Minimum two years of experience servicing HVAC electronic or mechanical systems. • Knowledge of HVAC controls, facilities management systems, site preparation, and peripheral equipment installation. • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls ethically and professionally. • Proficient with PC, HVAC‑related software, Microsoft Excel, and Visio. • Skilled in using hand and power tools; low‑voltage/120‑volt wiring skills preferred. • Attention to detail, strong communication, and good listening skills.
