About the Role
The IT Commercial Lead, based in the UK, joins the IT Management Team to manage budgeting, forecasting, procurement and invoicing for the IT Group. This role ensures financial targets are met, provides customer intelligence and oversees departmental reporting, while supporting a small team of roughly 25 professionals and a full‑time IT Administrator. Key duties include overseeing the IT department’s budget and cost allocation, maintaining financial records in ServiceNow, Salesforce and SAP S/4HANA, producing reports and meeting minutes, and keeping the IT intranet and documentation up‑to‑date. The Lead also coordinates department‑wide activities such as conferences, team days, and other events, and contributes to staff reviews and process improvements. • Oversee IT group budgeting, forecasting and cost allocation, including PC rental expenses. • Liaise with Finance and maintain financial reporting via ServiceNow, Salesforce and SAP S/4HANA. • Produce departmental reports, meeting minutes and update the IT intranet and documentation. • Coordinate conference management, team days and other department‑wide events. • Supervise staff reviews and support a full‑time IT Administrator. • Apply business and commercial expertise with strong IT and corporate IT knowledge. • Collaborate across a 25‑member UK team and engage with Hitachi groups across EMEA and Tokyo. • Uphold Hitachi’s values of Wa (harmony, trust, respect), Makoto (sincerity, fairness, honesty, integrity) and Kaitakusha‑Seishin (pioneering spirit, challenge).

What You Bring
The ideal candidate brings strong business and commercial experience, a solid understanding of corporate IT functions, and preferably a degree in business management. Proficiency in O365 (especially Excel), SAP S/4HANA, ServiceNow and Salesforce is essential, along with commercial acumen, meticulous attention to detail, and a collaborative, improvement‑driven mindset. • Demonstrate proficiency in O365 (Excel), SAP S/4HANA, ServiceNow and Salesforce. • Exhibit commercial acumen, meticulous attention to detail and a drive for continuous improvement.
