What You Bring

AECOM’s Resource & Industry team in Western Australia seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer with mining infrastructure experience to work from the Perth office on a variety of projects covering the entire project lifecycle, from concept through decommissioning, supporting clients’ transition to net‑zero emissions. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, have consultancy or owner‑side experience with Front End Loading, and possess design and specification knowledge for mining or heavy‑industry systems. Strong communication, problem‑solving abilities, and 2–6 years of relevant post‑graduate experience are also required. • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. • Experience in consultancy or owner‑side roles with Front End Loading capital project delivery. • Design and specification expertise for mining, heavy‑industry, or infrastructure systems (e.g., bulk material and fluid handling). • Proficiency in creating technical specifications, datasheets, reports, and scopes of work. • Strong communication, problem‑solving, and collaborative skills. • 2–6 years of relevant post‑graduate experience. • Ability to quickly learn new engineering software tools.
