Civil Craft Laborer - Meitner

About the Role

Mortenson is seeking a Laborer who will assist with material handling, assemble and dismantle equipment, prepare work areas, and clean machines and workspaces. The role involves loading and unloading equipment, supplying tools and materials to other crafts, and maintaining a safe, organized site. The laborer will also support scaffold erection, concrete work, and general cleanup tasks. • Load and unload equipment • Prepare, handle, and supply materials and tools for other crafts • Clean work area, machines, and equipment • Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5 × 7 × 16) and staging • Perform general cleanup and debris removal, including sweeping, washing, and loading or burning debris • Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete • Build relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels • Operate power and non‑powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies • Perform repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements • Provide medical and prescription drug plans with no additional cost vision coverage • Provide no‑cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work‑life resources • Provide adoption assistance

What You Bring

The ideal candidate has construction experience and can operate power and non‑powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies. Strong teamwork, a positive attitude, professional customer service, attention to detail, active listening, and effective communication are essential. Physical requirements include repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements and the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lb, with assistance for heavier loads. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship; Mortenson does not sponsor visas for this position.
