About the Role

The role is a Senior Electrical Engineer in the Sydney office, responsible for developing and reviewing detailed electrical designs within a large multidisciplinary team. Reporting to the electrical discipline lead, the engineer will support construction teams, work with contract partners on small to medium projects, and follow a progressive career path. • Perform electrical engineering design, including drawings, calculations, reports and design criteria. • Calculate and analyze electrical system components using standard and proprietary software. • Assist in evaluating and selecting electrical systems, materials and developing specifications. • Develop electrical system concepts through sketches, models, diagrams and other visual formats. • Prepare project documents, client presentations and communication for specific deliverables. • Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure design intent compatibility. • Create construction specifications, plans and schedules for electrical engineering documents. • Review shop drawings and submittals, respond to RFIs, prepare site observation reports and handle contract administration tasks. • Identify emerging technical problems and initiate corrective actions. • Attend project coordination meetings with internal team members and external consultants. • Participate in value engineering, safety‑in‑design workshops and basic cost estimating.

What You Bring

Successful candidates will hold a tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with at least five years of water and wastewater experience, possess strong interpersonal and consulting skills, and be able to maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients.
