About the Role
The Service Technician assists in repairing and overhauling refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment, ensuring customer needs are met efficiently and on time. Duties include servicing compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and control devices; performing general repairs on units such as air conditioners, evaporative condensers, ice machines, gas furnaces, and electric motors; and conducting preventative maintenance by diagnosing malfunctions. Additional responsibilities involve testing systems, maintaining accurate work records, processing job tickets, supporting case delivery and installation, handling minor construction projects, and safely operating a company vehicle. • Assist in repair and overhaul of refrigeration, heating, and ventilation systems. • Service compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and electrical/mechanical control devices. • Perform general repairs on air conditioners, evaporative condensers, ice machines, gas furnaces, and electric motors. • Conduct preventative maintenance and diagnose equipment malfunctions. • Test malfunctioning systems using electrical and mechanical expertise. • Maintain accurate corporate and personal work history records. • Process job tickets and work orders promptly. • Support case pickup, delivery, and installation. • Perform minor construction, remodeling, and startup of new installations. • Operate company vehicle safely, adhering to a good driving record.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED and an EPA certification; additional vocational or trade school certification is a plus. A minimum of three years’ commercial refrigeration experience is required, preferably with exposure to convenience‑store or supermarket equipment, single and rack systems, display cases, and walk‑in boxes. Applicants need a clean driving record, on‑call availability for emergencies, the ability to lift 60 lb unassisted, and the capacity to sit or stand for several hours. • Hold EPA certification and high school diploma/GED; vocational certification is a plus. • Possess at least three years of commercial refrigeration experience, with supermarket or convenience‑store background preferred. • Familiarity with single and rack systems, display cases, and walk‑in boxes. • Ability to lift 60 lb, stand/sit for extended periods, and be on‑call for emergencies.
