About the Role

The role supports skilled craft workers by performing assigned duties across various trades as needed. The employee follows direction from higher‑skilled workers or a foreman and contributes to the crew’s overall productivity. • Eliminate waste in waiting, rework, transporting, material storage, and time. • Consult a supervisor if unsure about work tasks or safety practices. • Learn and understand all safety hazards related to the job. • Safely operate work‑related tools and equipment. • Identify improvement opportunities and learn from others. • Maintain positive relationships with crew members. • Produce high‑quality work safely and productively. • Provide feedback to ensure tools, materials, and information are available. • Use telephone, computer, or email on a limited basis for communication. • Navigate confined, cluttered, and uneven work areas. • Comply with all safety standards and procedures. • Use hands frequently to grasp, lift, handle, and carry objects. • Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds. • Lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lb occasionally.

It is classified as safety‑sensitive due to the potential impact on employee and workplace safety. • Perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). • Complete NCCER Core Curriculum or hold a high school diploma (preferred). • Possess 1–3+ years experience in industrial/commercial construction (levels I‑III). • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills. • Wear required personal protective equipment (e.g., steel‑toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hard hat). • Reach above shoulder height and below the waist frequently. • Work up to 12‑hour shifts performing hard physical labor in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions.
