About the Role
Supporting assembly and fabrication requirements, the associate packages, bands, and labels parts, equipment, and accessories to minimize damage during shipment or staging. Quality is emphasized through routine checks, continuous improvement efforts, and Lean initiatives that suggest enhancements to work processes, environmental safety, and health. Routine preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment is also performed to ensure peak performance. The employee must adhere to all safety and industrial hygiene standards, using appropriate personal protective equipment and maintaining a clean, organized work area following 5S principles. Collaboration with team members and communication of customer needs are essential for timely order fulfillment. Special assignments or projects may be assigned as required. • Perform cycle counts of components and analyze results to identify root causes and corrective actions. • Operate forklifts and cranes to transport equipment and materials to required locations. • Receive, document, store, stage, and issue all job‑related material to satisfy production requirements. • Support assembly and fabrication tasks as needed. • Package, band, and label parts, equipment, and accessories to prevent damage during shipment or staging. • Conduct quality checks and recommend process improvements through Lean initiatives. • Follow established safety procedures, use PPE, and maintain a 5S‑compliant work area. • Perform routine preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment. • Collaborate with team members and communicate customer requirements to ensure timely order fulfillment. • Complete special assignments or projects as directed by management.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED, be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, and reside within 50 miles of the Sumter location. Computer literacy—including proficiency with Excel, Word, DMM, AS400, Mapics, Vista, and Outlook—and the ability to lift at least 35 lb and stand for extended periods are required. Knowledge of steel and bus fabrication processes, inventory control, and materials planning systems is also essential. • High school diploma or GED; authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. • Reside within 50 miles of the Sumter, SC facility. • Computer literate with proficiency in Excel, Word, DMM, AS400, Mapics, Vista, and Outlook. • Able to lift a minimum of 35 lb, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting. • Knowledge of steel and bus fabrication processes, inventory control, and materials planning/scheduling systems.
