About the Role
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Quantity Surveyor to join our Abu Dhabi team. The role involves managing all cost and contractual aspects during pre‑construction and construction phases, ensuring financial control and cost certainty across projects. • Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects. • Conduct value‑engineering analyses to optimize project costs. • Monitor budgets and ensure financial control throughout the project lifecycle. • Support the project team in achieving cost certainty and transparency. • Prepare and analyze bills of quantities. • Negotiate with contractors and subcontractors. • Provide expert advice on contractual claims. • Prepare regular cost reports and forecasts. • Identify and mitigate potential financial risks. • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure cost‑effective delivery.

What You Bring
The position is on‑site in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, under the Transportation business line of AECOM Middle East Limited and requires eligibility for a UAE work visa. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. • Minimum of four years’ experience in quantity surveying or cost management. • RICS certification or equivalent (preferred). • Experience with international standards such as AACE (preferred). • Strong mathematical, analytical, and communication skills. • Proficiency in cost‑estimation software. • In‑depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. • Experience working on projects in the UAE or Middle East (preferred). • Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus. • Valid UAE work visa or eligibility to obtain one.
