What You Bring
Rogers Group Inc is seeking a skilled candidate to fill our position as a Diesel Mechanic in Vega, Texas. The successful candidates should be an experienced stick welder, millwright or maintenance person who can maintain and repair plant operations, including crushers, conveyors, screens, and mobile heavy equipment. The job may also include general work around the quarry operation and other duties as assigned. Hours of operation must be flexible and will require weekend work. The role requires an uncompromising focus on safety excellence, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs. Responsibilities include fixed‑plant repairs, diagnosing and repairing mobile heavy equipment, installing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment, performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance, and fabricating, cutting, and stick welding. Prior experience in fixed‑plant maintenance or a related industry is required; experience with crushers, conveyors, and screens is preferred. The candidate should demonstrate leadership, direction, and work planning for plant maintenance, fabrication, and heavy‑repair projects, and be self‑motivated to work independently. • Prior experience in fixed‑plant maintenance or related industry. • Work independently with a strong safety focus and flexible weekend hours.
