About the Role
The Team Lead, Software Engineering role is based in Richmond, VA, with a Monday‑Thursday in‑office schedule and a remote Friday. This position will guide a team of developers in building modern applications using TypeScript, React, .NET Core, SQL Server, and AWS, while ensuring quality and reliability throughout the software lifecycle. • Lead a software development team building applications with TypeScript, React, .NET Core, SQL Server, and AWS. • Apply quality management methods to deliver defect‑free software that meets organizational needs. • Own product launch activities and collaborate with DevOps to monitor performance and availability. • Evaluate emerging technologies to strengthen the platform and establish best practices. • Provide technical leadership, navigate complex requirements, and deliver timely solutions.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and bring at least five years of web development experience, including three years of building large, distributed, API‑driven systems. A strong grasp of object‑oriented programming, design patterns, and expertise in JavaScript, C#, SQL Server, and AWS is required, along with proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver solutions to complex requirements. Preferred skills include experience with document data systems, Node.js, AWS services such as S3 and Lambda, Docker, container orchestration, and work in SOX‑compliant environments. • Hold a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of web development experience, including 3+ years on large distributed API‑driven systems. • Demonstrate strong OOP knowledge and proficiency with JavaScript, C#, SQL Server, and AWS. • Preferred experience with Document Data Systems (Dynamo, OpenSearch), Node.js, AWS S3/Lambda/SQS, Kafka, Redis, Docker, and container orchestration. • Familiarity with SOX‑compliant development environments is a plus.
