About the Role
Johnson Controls enhances building intelligence, delivering smarter, safer, more comfortable, efficient, and sustainable building solutions worldwide since 1885. • Sell electronic services (moves, adds/changes, service, repairs) to assigned customers. • Manage the full sales process—from opportunity discovery to contract creation, negotiation, closing, and ongoing service delivery. • Collaborate with sales, technical, design, engineering, service, support, and management teams to meet customer needs. • Identify customer requirements and develop sales strategies that convey product value. • Close sales to achieve or exceed sales plan objectives. • Build and maintain an active proposal backlog supporting the sales plan. • Assume account‑management duties, coordinating installations, training, and other services to ensure customer satisfaction. • Prepare financial justifications, proposals, presentations, and follow‑up to secure deals. • Resolve customer issues related to delivery dates, billing, financing, and other matters. • Sustain established accounts through regular contact and pursue additional sales opportunities. • Conduct market research in the assigned territory to uncover new applications and provide sales forecasts. • Perform building surveys to develop accurate estimates. • Keep complete and accurate records of all sales activities.

What You Bring
Our continued growth requires a talented Life Safety Service Representative to promote and sell fire and life safety services within an assigned territory. The role involves professional representation of the company and delivering solutions to customers and end‑users. The position demands high energy, a strong customer focus, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to persuade and close sales with minimal supervision. Candidates must handle diverse sales situations effectively. • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or engineering (preferred). • Minimum three years of successful sales or technical field experience with fire alarms, security control, monitoring, or related industry. • Experience working with electrical contractors and reading blueprints/wiring diagrams (desirable). • Strong sales, presentation, and closing techniques. • Excellent communication and organizational skills. • Self‑motivated, able to work with limited supervision and high self‑discipline. • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and job‑costing systems; familiar with Microsoft and Oracle programs. • Ability to quickly identify and qualify sales opportunities. • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. • Ability to obtain required licenses per national, state, and local codes.

Benefits
The role offers a base salary of $53,400–$80,000 plus target incentive earnings, a competitive sales incentive plan, and a comprehensive benefits package.
