About the Role

In this position you will lead the development of GIS strategies, oversee database and application design, and coordinate requirements to ensure timely delivery. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to embed GIS capabilities into business processes while maintaining data standards and best practices. Advanced spatial analysis and the evaluation of new technologies will be key components of your work. • Develop and implement GIS strategies aligned with organizational goals. • Design and develop GIS databases and applications. • Coordinate and prioritize GIS requirements to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery. • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate GIS solutions into business processes. • Establish and maintain geospatial data standards, policies, and best practices. • Create GIS standards and user guidance (symbology, layer naming, data handling protocols). • Perform advanced spatial analysis and produce high‑quality cartographic products. • Evaluate and implement new GIS technologies and methodologies to improve efficiency.

What You Bring

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Engineer / Specialist to lead geospatial initiatives. The role blends technical expertise with strategic thinking to drive innovation and efficiency across our spatial operations. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality GIS solutions that support our urban development and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate holds a degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Computer Science or a related discipline, and possesses a GIS Professional (GISP) certification. Extensive experience—at least ten years in GIS for urban development and five years within the GCC—combined with deep ArcGIS and BIM knowledge is required. Strong skills in data integration, spatial analysis, cartography, and cadastral management are essential. • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Computer Science or related field; master’s preferred. • GIS Professional (GISP) certification. • Minimum 10 years GIS experience in urban development/master planning/infrastructure, including at least 5 years in the GCC. • Advanced proficiency with ArcGIS suite and related geomatic applications (Desktop, Online, geoprocessing, dashboards). • Knowledge of BIM environments and GIS‑BIM integration. • Expertise in importing and updating data from diverse sources (CAD, Revit, shapefiles, imagery, spreadsheets, web services). • Strong skills in spatial analysis, cartography, and geospatial data management, including cadastral and parcel management. • Ability to verify and maintain accuracy of attribute information and produce thematic maps for planning and reporting.
