About the Role
The coordinator will plan, implement, and manage VDC processes using appropriate technology platforms, encompassing existing conditions modeling, cost estimation, 4D phase planning, site analysis, design reviews, 3D visualization, coordination, site utilization, construction system design, digital fabrication, control planning, and record modeling. They will act as the primary VDC point of contact for construction teams, provide training, encourage active participation in Mortenson’s Integrated Delivery Advancement Team (IDAT) community, handle daily work planning, and document process improvements. • Plan, implement, and oversee VDC processes using appropriate technology platforms. • Serve as primary VDC point of contact for construction teams throughout all phases. • Provide VDC training and support to integrated construction team members. • Encourage active participation in Mortenson’s Integrated Delivery Advancement Team (IDAT) community of practice. • Conduct daily work planning and document process improvements. • Manage BIM/VDC tasks such as modeling, cost estimation, 4D planning, site analysis, design reviews, 3D visualization, coordination, and record modeling. • Maintain detail orientation to manage multiple project tasks simultaneously.

What You Bring
Mortenson is seeking an experienced Senior Integrated Construction Coordinator (VDC) to join its Data Center Solutions Group. The role will implement and oversee Virtual Design and Construction processes throughout all project phases, requiring strong communication skills to interact with staff at every level. Flexibility, ingenuity, dedication, efficiency, integrity, and confidentiality are essential for success, and local candidates are preferred. Candidates must hold an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in civil or construction engineering, construction management, or a related field, and have at least two years of relevant experience. Required proficiencies include Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Synchro 4D, Trimble SketchUp, Bluebeam Revu, BIM 360 Field, 3DS Max, Civil 3D, Point Layout, Faro Scene, Google Earth Pro, and the Adobe Suite. Preferred knowledge includes game‑engine technologies, parametric analysis tools, basic animation and rendering capabilities, and completion of intermediate BIM/VDC training. A FAA Part 107 drone pilot certificate is preferred, with the expectation to obtain it within 90 days if not already certified. • Hold an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in civil/construction engineering, construction management, or related field. • Demonstrate at least two years of relevant experience. • Proficient with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Synchro 4D, Trimble SketchUp, and Bluebeam Revu. • Experienced with BIM 360 Field, 3DS Max, Civil 3D, Point Layout, Faro Scene, Google Earth Pro, and Adobe Suite. • Familiarity with Unity, Unreal, Dynamo, Grasshopper, Solibri, and 3D rendering/animation preferred. • Completed intermediate BIM/VDC software training. • Possess or obtain FAA Part 107 drone pilot certification within 90 days. • Exhibit strong communication, teamwork, problem‑solving, and leadership abilities.
