About the Role

Function as a Journeyman for Bergelectric Corp.; installing new electrical systems and repairing existing electrical systems while maintaining compliance with national, state and local electrical codes along with all Bergelectric Corp. policies and procedures. Support activities at commercial, industrial, institutional and residential locations. This is considered to be a safety sensitive position. • Install, repair, maintain, and test commercial, industrial, and residential electrical systems. • Use hand tools and power tools for electrical work. • Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install wire, cable, conduit, and raceway systems. • Feed, pull, and terminate wire and cable in control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, switchgear, receptacles, and switches. • Splice and terminate wires at junction points. • Troubleshoot electrical systems and control circuits; build control panels from drawings. • Prepare sketches and schematics showing wiring locations. • Delegate tasks and assist in training employees. • Maintain workflow schedule to meet productivity objectives. • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. • Install power systems such as lighting, fire protection, security, and data networks. • Build and install control panels and perform system maintenance. • Read and use electrical single‑line blueprints. • Diagnose and repair faults in electrical apparatus and circuits. • Verify compliance and functionality of installations.

What You Bring

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and pulling a similar force, climbing ladders, pulling wire, bending conduit, and working in a fully squatted, stooped, or kneeling position while wearing a 25‑lb tool belt. The employee must also stand for long periods performing repetitive grasping or manipulation of wires, and work from ladders, man lifts, or reach booms. Work is performed in a variety of weather conditions—including cold, snow, rain, and heat—and may involve high noise levels. Workers must also use appropriate hearing protection due to the high noise environment. • Communicate effectively with foremen and crew members. • Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy with colleagues, customers, and vendors. • Hold a current Journeyman Wireman license (as required by jurisdiction). • Experience managing projects and crews, including material estimating. • Strong leadership and pre‑planning abilities.
