About the Role

The Principal Electrical Engineer will perform electrical engineering design for onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities. Responsibilities include studies, designs, specifications, and services related to MV (11 kV) and LV (690/400 V) switchgear, power management systems, MV VFDs, and distribution systems. The role requires detailed design/FEED experience on MV and LV systems and ancillaries, including power management systems and MV VFDs. • Design MV (11 kV) and LV (690/400 V) switchgear, power management systems, and MV VFDs for onshore/offshore facilities. • Conduct power system studies using ETAP and produce single‑line diagrams, specifications, and data sheets. • Perform technical bid evaluations and review vendor documentation for switchgear and VFDs. • Collaborate with a team of Electrical Engineers and Designers on detailed engineering design. • Apply IEC/BSI codes and standards to ensure compliance and conduct assessment studies. • Utilize database engineering to generate production electrical deliverables.

What You Bring

A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 12 years of experience in electrical design for offshore power and distribution systems are required. Candidates should be familiar with global electrical codes such as IEC and BSI, and possess knowledge of electrical system assessment, compliance studies, and the use of database engineering for production deliverables. Ability to work independently is also required. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 12 years of offshore electrical design experience.
