About the Role
This senior role leads carbon strategy for a major infrastructure programme, driving low‑carbon innovation, PAS 2080 compliance and robust carbon accounting. Working closely with clients and project teams, it shapes strategic decisions, develops talent and supports work‑winning while advancing Mace’s Pursue a Sustainable World across the programme lifecycle. • Embed carbon in design, procurement, and delivery. • Manage whole‑life carbon and cost assessments. • Drive innovation to reduce whole‑life impacts. • Provide strategic carbon advice to clients. • Manage PAS 2080‑aligned carbon strategies and reporting. • Oversee robust programme carbon assessments. • Support teams with baselines, analysis, and reductions. • Lead work‑winning, development, and team mentoring. • Safety first – ensure staff go home safe and well, fostering a safe, diverse, and inclusive environment. • Client focus – deliver quality outcomes and build long‑term client relationships. • Create opportunity – champion continuous improvement and inspire people to develop.

What You Bring

Please note: this role requires traveling to site 2‑3 days per week in Peterborough, with flexible work‑from‑home on other days. Travel and car allowances are included in the package.
