About the Role
Join us in delivering the infrastructure essential for modern Australia. As a Project Engineer with the Power Projects Team, you will lead the design and execution of high‑voltage substation and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects throughout Victoria. This site‑based role supports a large‑scale substation project in the western suburbs of Melbourne and follows a drive‑in, drive‑out schedule. You will work closely with the Project Manager and on‑site teams to coordinate construction activities, monitor progress and ensure technical, safety and quality standards are upheld across all project phases. • Assess construction risks to ensure safe execution and compliance with environmental and quality standards. • Coordinate and manage construction engineering activities for timely, budget‑friendly, quality‑driven delivery. • Lead by example and promote Zero Harm principles with operational teams. • Collaborate with project teams to implement business improvements that eliminate waste and reduce operational costs. • Manage subcontractors, providing commercial advice and monitoring performance.

What You Bring
You bring a sharp engineering mind, practical problem‑solving skills and a proven track record delivering complex electrical utility projects on time and to high standards. A trade or engineering qualification (electrical or similar) and/or a Diploma in Project Management is required, along with experience in the Energy Supply Industry and familiarity with tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, @Risk and Expert Estimator. • Hold a trade or engineering (electrical) qualification and/or a Diploma in Project Management. • Demonstrate experience delivering electrical utility projects within the Energy Supply Industry. • Proficient with project management and estimation tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, @Risk and Expert Estimator.
