About the Role

The Low‑Voltage Security Installer supports the installation, cabling, and commissioning of low‑voltage security and special systems on construction sites. Working closely with lead installers, the role interprets drawings, follows safety and quality standards, assists with troubleshooting, and maintains accurate as‑built documentation. • Install EMT conduit, low‑voltage cabling, and security devices according to drawings. • Collaborate with lead installers to meet safety standards and client specifications. • Follow construction practices, safety protocols, and project timelines. • Use tools and equipment safely to ensure high‑quality installations. • Interpret technical drawings to correctly place low‑voltage systems. • Support site teams and troubleshoot during start‑up and commissioning. • Prepare and maintain as‑built drawings, O&M manuals, and sensor/panel data.

What You Bring

The position requires frequent standing, climbing, walking, lifting up to 50 lb, and occasional work at heights over 1.8 m. Employees are exposed to outdoor weather, construction equipment, moderate noise, and may need to enter confined spaces. Use of power tools and personal protective equipment is mandatory. • Communicate empathetically to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction. • High school diploma or GED. • Minimum 1 year experience with low‑voltage security, audio or intercom systems. • Experience as an electrician or helper, including conduit bending and reading electrical symbols. • Prior work on construction or mechanical sites with strong mechanical aptitude. • Basic computer skills and knowledge of safety codes and blueprints. • Valid driver’s license. • 2 + years experience with low‑voltage security, CCTV, or access‑control systems. • 2 + years conduit bending and building‑automation installation. • Proficient with digital blueprint tools (Bluebeam, PlanGrid) on tablets. • Current lift certification or other manufacturer certifications. • Skilled in using electrical test equipment and troubleshooting circuitry. • Knowledge of low‑voltage DC components such as transformers and breakers.
