About the Role
The technician will be responsible for a range of field activities, including observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of various construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel. Tasks are performed under the guidance of senior technicians and project managers and follow industry standards. Data collection, calculation, and preparation of field reports are key components, along with daily communication with site contractors, other technicians, and project managers to keep teams informed of site conditions and testing requests. Participation in project meetings and ongoing training in ECS methodology are also expected. • Perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel on construction sites. • Conduct routine field tests using industry‑standard methods and equipment. • Calculate and reduce data, draft field reports, and complete administrative documentation. • Communicate daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers; report site condition changes and testing needs. • Attend project meetings and coordinate with senior staff as required. • Pursue additional certifications (e.g., ACI, ASNT, AWS, ICC, NICET) and internal training programs.

ECS Limited is seeking a certified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Senior Field Technician to join its Miami team. Physical requirements include repeatedly lifting 40–70 lb and occasionally 85 lb, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, strong communication and safety knowledge, proficiency with electronic devices, and basic MS Office skills. • Meet at least 2 years related experience and hold a high school diploma or GED. • Maintain current basic certifications plus two advanced certifications; OSHA 10 is a plus. • Ability to lift 40‑70 lb repeatedly, occasionally 85 lb to waist height. • Possess a valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed). • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication, heavy‑construction safety knowledge, and teamwork skills. • Proficient with phones, tablets, laptops, and basic MS Office; strong math and plan‑reading abilities.
