About the Role
As a Field-Based Doors Engineer, you’ll service, install, and repair door systems across the UK, working in diverse environments such as schools, retail spaces, warehouses, manufacturing sites, and residential buildings. You will ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality outcomes while contributing to a Zero Harm culture and supporting team performance through technical excellence and excellent customer service. • Service, install, repair, and fault‑find a variety of door systems. • Apply risk assessments and method statements to ensure safe working practices. • Complete service reports and handover documentation accurately. • Collaborate with planning and operations to manage workload and priorities. • Deliver first‑class customer experience through problem‑solving and clear communication. • Participate in the out‑of‑hours call‑out rota as required.

What You Bring
• Use electrical knowledge for diagnostics and repairs. • Proven experience servicing, repairing, and installing door systems. • Strong communication and relationship skills. • Reliable, self‑motivated; able to work independently and in a team. • Full UK driving licence; willingness to travel and stay overnight. • Familiarity with safe systems of work and PPE usage. • Preferred: intermediate to advanced fault‑finding and commissioning skills. • Health & safety certifications (IPAF, PASMA, competency card) preferred. • Electrical qualification preferred. • Ability to read technical drawings and manage complex installations. • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PDF) for reports.
