About the Role
A Laborer at Republic Services is responsible for safely and efficiently performing general labor duties at a hauling company, transfer station, recycling center, or landfill. Duties may include yard clean‑up, fueling vehicles and equipment, general vehicle operation, office maintenance, and related tasks. Key responsibilities include cleaning work areas, fueling vehicles, maintaining track equipment, performing yard work such as mowing and paper pick‑up, and operating site vehicles like water trucks, sweepers, and mowers. The role also involves general office upkeep, painting, janitorial work, installing temporary wind fences, directing site traffic, and completing other assigned tasks. • Clean up work areas • Maintain track equipment • Perform yard work (mowing, paper pick‑up) • Operate site vehicles and equipment (water trucks, sweepers, mowers, etc.) • Perform office maintenance and repairs, including painting and janitorial work • Install temporary wind fences as required • Direct site traffic as necessary
