About the Role
The employee provides administrative and financial services to the business center, supporting the accountant in meeting client contractual billing requirements, auditing project ledgers, processing accounts payable, and assisting with month‑end close and project closeout activities. • Assist the accountant to ensure client contractual billing and accounts receivable requirements are met. • Audit client billing and project ledgers for compliance with contracts, GAAP, and company policy. • Process vendor invoices and maintain up‑to‑date accounts payable for assigned projects. • Process subcontractor invoices, verify lien waivers, and confirm contracts and insurance are in place. • Support monthly close by posting or accruing client bills and project costs. • Provide monthly updates on project assets and rentals for insurance documentation. • Aid in project financial closeout, ensuring final contract amounts and subcontractor documentation are satisfied. • Respond to internal and external audit requests. • Follow established procedures and complete tasks without manager follow‑up.

What You Bring
The position is located in one of four Midwest cities—Kansas City, MO; West Des Moines, IA; Omaha, NE; or Denver, CO—and is classified as an entry‑level, regular, salaried non‑exempt finance role reporting to the Senior Accountant or Financial Manager in Finance Reporting HQ. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or an equivalent combination of education and experience), possess a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, and demonstrate strong organization, accuracy, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. The role requires physical abilities such as climbing stairs and ladders, handling tools, and occasional lifting of heavy items, while the work environment includes construction sites with exposure to moving equipment, noise, weather conditions, and potential electrical hazards. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent education/experience). • General knowledge of basic accounting principles. • Ability to research problems, resolve them, and meet deadlines. • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and accurate with self‑checking work. • Capable of working independently with minimal oversight and within a team. • Strong work ethic, integrity, dependability, adaptability, and motivation to take on new responsibilities. • Professional written and verbal communication skills. • Proficient in data entry, databases, and MS Office applications.
