Assistant Electrical BIM Engineer

About the Role

The role involves model building and drawings of building services elements for electrical services, including lighting power, earthing, lightning protection, schematics, and schedules. It also includes creating a 3D model of a physical substation in Revit, preparing 2D drawings, and performing basic electrical design calculations. The position requires QA/QC procedures, attention to quality and technical correctness, smooth coordination with mechanical, structural and architectural services, and delivering outputs within time limits. • Build and draft electrical building services models, including lighting, earthing, lightning protection, schematics, and schedules. • Create 3D Revit models of physical substations and produce 2D drawing sets. • Perform basic electrical design calculations and apply QA/QC procedures. • Ensure technical accuracy, quality, and coordination with mechanical, structural, and architectural disciplines. • Deliver project outputs within established timeframes.

What You Bring

Candidates should have an ITI, diploma or degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and experience in electrical modelling for building services using Revit. Experience with substation or oil & gas projects is required, while MicroStation knowledge is an added advantage. Familiarity with layout and schematic drawings, British and GCC standards, strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work without extensive mark‑ups, and exposure to BIM360 or ProjectWise are preferred.
