About the Role
The Maintenance Technician B works under direct supervision of a Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager, performing repair and maintenance on diesel and non‑diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis components, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, air brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering. The role also includes basic tire work such as replacement, rotation, and tread depth checks, and offers the chance to work on a single fleet of state‑of‑the‑art vehicles while supporting drivers on their routes. Key responsibilities include maintaining proficiency in vehicle components and systems, performing preventative and corrective maintenance both on‑site and on the road, welding and fabrication tasks, and safely providing road service to return equipment to operation efficiently. Technicians must identify malfunctions using electronic tools, complete required training programs, and perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring
Candidates should have at least one year of technician experience with gasoline and diesel equipment or be nearing graduation from an accredited automotive program. A basic understanding of work order labor standards, familiarity with light to heavy‑duty trucks, and a valid driver’s license are required; ASE certifications and a commercial driver’s license are advantageous but not mandatory.
