About the Role

• Represent the firm in interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and project team members. • Design large mechanical systems, prepare reports, specifications, and system narratives. • Lead QA/QC processes for own work and oversee the work of others. • Perform construction administration, field inspections, and detailed inspection reports. • Assist senior engineers in project scheduling, manpower planning, budgeting, and processing RFIs, change orders, bulletins, and addenda. • Create basic designs, system layouts, and specifications under senior guidance. • Manage CAD/BIM and technical staff assigned to projects. • Estimate construction costs and evaluate feasibility using Rough Order of Magnitude. • Write engineering proposals under senior direction. • Coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, structural, electrical, and telecom disciplines and assess constructability and cost.

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer III‑IV to join our growing team in Richmond, VA, bringing significant mechanical design experience and a desire to grow and mentor young engineers. • Hold a current EIT and/or PE registration as a Mechanical Engineer. • Earn a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university. • Possess 3.5–7+ years of consulting engineering experience. • Hold LEED AP accreditation (highly preferred). • Demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
