About the Role

The Project Engineer role in Norwich will act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, bridging disciplines and supporting the Project Manager. This position offers the chance to lead projects from concept through to completion while maintaining high standards of quality and service. • Lead day‑to‑day project management activities including planning, resource forecasting, and site coordination. • Estimate time and cost, control budgets, and report performance against targets. • Document all project stages comprehensively and maintain accurate records. • Identify, analyse, and manage risks proactively, including obsolescence concerns. • Embed new knowledge into company systems to drive continuous improvement. • Identify and eliminate waste or non‑value‑adding activities within internal processes. • Utilise digital delivery tools to enhance design interrogation and innovation. • Ensure compliance with business assurance standards, data protection, and information security. • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, contractors, and partners. • Promote health, safety, and environmental best practices across project teams. • Support team behaviours, collaborative working, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Bring

• Communicate clearly with clients, colleagues, and the supply chain, both verbally and in writing. • Demonstrate proven experience delivering engineering projects in a technical environment. • Produce high‑quality technical reports and possess strong commercial and H&S awareness. • Apply Project Management methodologies and possess strong IT skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. • Hold a minimum HNC (or equivalent) in an engineering or science discipline. • Show customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to cost‑effective service excellence. • Possess CAD skills (2D AutoCAD, 3D Autodesk Inventor) and knowledge of the water industry (advantageous).
