About the Role
The Planning & Scheduling Manager will complete most complex activities to prepare project schedules for projects of all sizes and provide team leadership. This position will be responsible for guiding scheduling construction sequencing, developing and delivering training, and supervising critical path analysis. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn. • Facilitate and incorporate Lean principles and pull planning during schedule development and construction. • Create bid and proposal schedules to assist Marketing and Operations managers. • Lead detailed critical path analysis for problem projects and conduct root cause analysis. • Assist with procurement and supervision of scheduling consultants to meet project requirements. • Review schedules for compliance with best practice standards and project requirements, providing feedback. • Guide development of best practice standards for the planning and scheduling group and lead department objectives. • Maintain or exceed required reimbursability and ensure direct reports do the same. • Support Lean and Pull Planning sessions, aligning the CPM master schedule with pull‑plan results; lead sessions as needed. • Lead and support change‑management delays and claims (compensable, non‑compensable, excusable, non‑excusable). • Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, ensuring proactive implementation of JE Dunn’s non‑discrimination policy. • Identify schedule sequencing concerns and propose improvements. • Lead internal scheduling training classes. • Provide performance management feedback. • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships at all organizational levels.
