About the Role
The role involves executing routine, preventive, and breakdown maintenance on port equipment, performing regular inspections, diagnosing faults, and carrying out corrective actions. The incumbent is responsible for reporting completed jobs and maintaining accurate records. Additional duties include assisting senior executives and the assistant manager with shift management, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies, reporting unsafe conditions, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The employee must also maintain housekeeping standards, act as the assistant manager when required, and keep detailed shift logbooks. • Perform routine, preventive, and breakdown maintenance on port equipment • Conduct equipment inspections and implement corrective actions • Diagnose and repair equipment faults promptly • Complete and submit job reports after maintenance tasks • Assist senior executives and assistant manager in shift management • Enforce company health, safety, and environment policies • Report unsafe conditions and contribute to continuous improvement • Maintain workplace and equipment housekeeping • Act as assistant manager in their absence when directed • Record job, manpower, and equipment status in shift logbook and verify reports • Ensure compliance with OH&S regulations, hazard and risk management, accident reporting, SOPs, and work permits

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a Mechanical Diploma. Those with a degree need at least three years of relevant experience with heavy‑lift or container‑handling equipment, while diploma holders require a minimum of seven years. • Hold BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or Mechanical Diploma • Minimum 3 years experience (BE/B.Tech) or 7 years (Diploma) with heavy‑lift/container‑handling equipment
