About the Role
The Senior Mechanical Engineer (Switchboards) leads the engineering of customer orders, overseeing layout review, equipment selection, and 3D modeling. They manage the order lifecycle from initial review through production shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality. • Verify completeness and accuracy of incoming switchboard order information. • Prepare Manufacturing Information (MI) using Bid Manager, AutoCAD, and Plant Order Manager. • Design special fabricated parts with AutoCAD and 3‑D modeling software (e.g., Autodesk Inventor). • Route material to the appropriate assembly team based on completed MI. • Provide input on design and pick‑table enhancements to product line development teams. • Assist assembly teams in resolving process and information quality issues. • Support satellite plants through design review and product implementation.

What You Bring
The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 2–3 years of experience with low‑voltage distribution equipment, and at least 3 years of proficiency in Inventor, SolidWorks, or comparable 3‑D CAD tools. Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and analytical problem‑solving skills are essential. • Minimum 2–3 years experience supporting low‑voltage electrical distribution equipment. • At least 3 years experience with Inventor, SolidWorks, or comparable 3‑D modeling software. • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and analytical problem‑solving abilities.
