About the Role
This role oversees the work planning department, business analytics reporting, and operations & maintenance (O&M) governance for the Operations organization, ensuring alignment between financial expectations and work activities. Effective execution of these functions increases confidence in meeting the overall operations budget, compliance, and unit‑cost performance. The position also establishes an activity‑based multi‑year O&M strategy with associated governance and monitoring. Key responsibilities include managing utility operations support functions such as technical training, corrective actions, safety, contract management, and continuous improvement. The leader partners with corporate leaders to develop functional strategies, ensures departmental policies adhere to corporate, federal, state, and local regulations, and drives a collaborative labor‑management relationship. Additional duties cover financial management, workforce planning, professional development, and fostering internal and external stakeholder relationships to leverage best practices. • Lead work planning, business analytics reporting, and O&M governance to align financial expectations with operational activities. • Develop and implement an activity‑based multi‑year O&M strategy with governance and monitoring. • Manage utility operations support functions including technical training, corrective actions, safety, contract management, and continuous improvement. • Partner with corporate leaders to create functional strategies that support overall corporate goals and regulatory compliance. • Oversee budgeting, cost‑model development, and financial targets for department resources and services. • Direct workforce planning, recruitment, and talent development across multiple departments. • Foster internal and external stakeholder relationships to leverage best practices and meet regulatory changes. • Ensure safety, health, and environmental standards are met while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

What You Bring
The successful candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience) and possess at least 12 years of progressively responsible experience in operations, maintenance, engineering, or related support activities. Required competencies include advanced knowledge of power engineering principles, regulatory codes, budgeting, labor relations, and expert analytical, decision‑making, and project‑management skills. • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; 12+ years of progressive experience in operations, maintenance, engineering, or related areas. • Advanced expertise in power engineering principles, regulatory codes (OSHA, NERC, FERC, etc.), budgeting, labor relations, and analytical/project‑management skills.
