About the Role
In this position, you will work within an international design and engineering team specialized in oil‑type power transformers up to 60 MVA and 161 kV. Responsibilities include influencing specifications during tender stages, preparing electrical design quotations and documentation in line with IEEE standards, coordinating design activities across worldwide factories, and participating in internal concept reviews while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. • Influence transformer specifications during tender and pre‑tender phases. • Prepare electrical design quotations and related documentation per IEEE standards. • Generate customer, manufacturing documents and bills of material on schedule. • Coordinate design activities across Hitachi’s global factory network. • Participate in internal design concept reviews and ensure regulatory compliance.

What You Bring
Candidates should hold a B.E. or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering and possess 5–12 years of experience in electrical or mechanical design for power‑transformer manufacturing. A solid understanding of transformer electrical design, thermal and dielectric performance, short‑circuit analysis, and relevant IS/IEC/IEEE and Canadian standards is required, along with proficiency in spoken and written English. • Apply 5–12 years of power‑transformer electrical/mechanical design experience. • Knowledge of IS/IEC/IEEE and Canadian standards, plus transformer thermal and dielectric behavior. • Proficiency in English (spoken and written) and ability to collaborate with worldwide technical teams. • Preferred experience with simulation tools or software development and strong team‑building skills.
